Well, as it feels like this week didn’t go fast enough. I’m willing to be that this upcoming weekend will be an absolute blur. It should be another decent week for sports, The Pittsburgh Penguins will be taking on the Montreal Canadians in a best of 7 series, and the Pirates will continue the road trip they are on through the weekend.
I myself will be visiting the Phipps Conservatory for the first time this weekend. We’ll be taking my Mother there for Mother’s Day, which should be fun. I guess I’m excited, I’m not a big on plants guy so who knows really. After that however, we’re going to the Hofbrauhaus. I’ve been there before, and if you’re looking for a great restaurant/brewery then this is the place to be. The German theme is spectacular, and their brew selection is amazing. All around, it should be a great weekend.
Enough about myself though really, let’s move on to everyone’s favorite baseball team, the Pittsburgh Pirates. They have won 3 in a row and are now 2.5 games back from the division lead again. I know I said they wouldn’t touch .500, and I still don’t think they will. They are 10-12 now, so I’m dying to be proved wrong. It would be an awesome thing to see the team have decent success when the pitching and hitting are working at the same time. This city needs another winner, and the Pirates need to be it.
I’m going to kind of touch all bases here today, the weather is supposed to be warm but chance of rain throughout the weekend. Sometimes Pittsburgh weather is annoying for the most part. I still can’t deny spring as being one of my favorite seasons, just too much great stuff is going on. Pens play-offs, unlike the Capitals, we make it past the first round. The Pirates regardless of how fail they are, I love them to death, and just everything else involved with being outside and enjoying the great weather.
Well, that’s about all I have for today. I don’t often get into the specifics of what I’m going to do in the city that we all love, but I figured I’d at least share this time.
