On August 28th, the Consol Energy Center will be hosting an open house at the arena, and all fans are invited to attend. Tickets go on sale tomorrow morning (8/12) at 10:00 AM, available from the CEC box office and Ticketmaster.com, if you don’t mind the $40 convenience charges.
This definitely appears to be the best chance for those of us non-season ticketholders to get a nice look at the arena a full month before the preseason even begins. Unfortunately, only public areas will be accessible, so your dream of seeing the urinal that Sidney Crosby might use this season will likely not come true. If you are in the area that weekend and decide to go, take plenty of pictures and pass them along(post them in our new forums!)
