Game Six – Ohlendorf Return

Tonight is the night the Pens need to advance.  The Pittsburgh Penguins will be taking on the Montreal Canadians which could mean a possible last game, or the inevitable nightmare of game a possible game 7.

While it certainly can’t be called a must win.  It actually is.  The Canadians have been a very resilient team, and even showed that by beating the Washington Capitals in a game 7, in enemy territory.  The absolute last thing you want is to face a defensive team that’s shut down your best player in game 7.

The Pensblog as an unreal preview for this game.  Check it out!

Hal Gill, is a game time decision.  That’s huge news.  I’d assume he’s playing, but if he isn’t.  This could possibly be Crosby’s heroic night in which he tells his home country that he’s the man, and nobody in this world can do a thing about it.  If Hal Gill is in, which I speculate he will be, expect the same clutch and grab early day hockey he’s been playing against Crosby tonight and that possible game 7.  Gill, was and is an awesome player.

So all in all, I’m calling a 4-2 Pens win.  I think this is the night you see Crosby score, and you see the rest of the Pens follow suit and play a dominating game.

Moving on to the Pirates, Ohlendorf is set to start his 2nd game against the Reds.  He’s back from a back injury.  Good for him.  Go Buccos!
