So morning/afternoon depending on when this one is released. I’ve got some good insight, and just when I mention that I want to post more, I end up not posting for a few days. Love how that works. Either way, let’s get talking about everyone’s favorite city. Pittsburgh!
So with the upcoming Steeler season quickly arriving, I can’t really say that I’m too excited. I guess the best way I can put it, is that I’m going in with low expectations and hoping to be pleasantly surprised. Jonathan Dwyer is being talked about a good bit, and it’s the first time I think a low draft pick has been hyped this much. I’m so hoping he’s the steal of the draft and explodes onto the scene with Mendenhall. That would be just wonderful.
I think however, even before we get to the Steelers season, July 1st means a ton to the die hard hockey fans around here. That’s when the Free Agency opens and everything starts kicking. Here’s to see many people’s dreams come true when the Penguins sign Volchenkov. Which they won’t. Or trying to find the next Taylor Hall in the 2010 NHL Draft. I’m more of a pessimist, but I think this year, Shero is going to stand pat, pick up his normal free agent people looking for a fresh start, and he’ll do his dirty work come trade deadline. It’s how he’s been since taking the reigns. I just don’t see him changing otherwise.
The Pirates are on a semi roll again. WHOOPIE! Actually it’s good news, because around this time is when you see them start fading into oblivion. We’ll see though, because next month is do or die for certain players. I’m sure they know it. Here’s looking at you Doumit and Duke. I assume however, they are both going to go to better places regardless, so maybe it’s good for them?
One final thing, here’s Gonchar with no pants!
