It Begins Tonight

Quite possibly the best tournament in all of sports starts tonight.  The NHL Play-Offs are back in action, and it’s sure to be one hell of a crazy ride.  There’s sure to be drama, high emotion, injuries, and lots and lots of entertainment.

I am so incredibly psyched it hurts.  I live and die with the Pittsburgh Penguins.  I can’t get enough of them.  Ever since 1992 when I was 6 years, and seeing them win.  It just blew my mind.  I’ve been a die hard fan ever since.  So, in fitting with the actual start of the play-offs, the Pittsburgh Penguins host the Ottawa Senators tonight at the Mellon Arena.

The Senators are no new opponent to us.  This will be the third time in five years we’ve played them.  They are a tough opponent, and it should be an even battle.  Remember that switch everyone’s been talking about?  The Pens better hit it tonight and get going fast.  It’s going to be one hell of a ride.  Could the Pens reach the finals for the third time in a row?  Highly improbably, but I’m holding out for the fact that they can do it.

That being sad.  Let’s Go Pens!
