It brings me great pleasure to say that this past weekend and week was hectic as ever, and hopefully the mass craziness is taken care of. I should be back to the normal schedule which makes me happy and you should be happy as well, because that gives you something to read or participate in.
Speaking of participating, the National Kidney Foundation will be hosting a walk at the Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium. An excerpt from the TribLive site is posted as follows:
Step up with family, friends and community members on Sunday, November 8, 2009 for the 8th Annual Kidney Walk at the Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium presented by the National Kidney Foundation of the Alleghenies. Registration begins at 8:00am and the Walk begins at 9:00am.
Walkers of all ages are invited to join in the fun by strolling, running or wheeling their way past the finish line, individually or as part of a team. Prizes will be awarded to teams with the most walkers and walkers who secure the most contributions.
To register for the Kidney Walk online, visit www.kidneyall.org or call 800-261-4115 for more information. There is no registration fee but $100 is the suggested pledge amount.
This is a great event, and is usually fun for all ages. I will actually be attending so check for me! Also, I’m obligated to post
the site to actually register with a link so you can check it out for yourself, www.kidneyall.org is the site to check-out the information regarding the actual walk on Sunday. So check it out, sign up and pledge for a great cause. I’m sure it’s going to be a great time, and worth the investment in helping others.
