What?  I can’t even read that with a straight face.  I mean for serious?  The Pittsburgh Pirates swept the Chicago Cubs?  Not only that, but Charlie Morton had a good game?  What the hell is going on in this world?

Plain and simple, at this moment in time, the Pirates are 2 games out of .500, and 2 games out of the division lead.  All that being said, the Pirates have swept the Reds and Cubbies, while taking their fair of wins and losses against the Brewers so far.  However, don’t hold your breath because this surely won’t last.

I can’t help being skeptical either, with pitching, this team is pretty decent on paper.  However, these past three games have shown a flash of brilliance from some relief pitchers.  Even Meek, is looking good.  Octavio Dotel, looks to be back to some kind of decent form as well.   I think the biggest thing I’m excited for is when Ohlendorf comes back.  I’m led to believe that he’s going to be the real ace of the team, and having him hurt is never a great thing.
