Ladies and Gentleman. The Pirates have one a game in Milwaukee. Holy crap. Not only did they win, they won in awesome fashion. Ronnie Cedeno with the game tying home run, and then Ryan Doumit’s grand slam all in the top of the 9th inning. Outside of these few sentences, that’s about all the care I have to write about the Pittsburgh Pirates right now. That was their first win in 23 attempts at Miller Park. Unbelievable.
Anyways, we’re moving on to Pittsburgh News. It’s been awhile since I’ve posted random links and describing them, so here we go.
The Pittsburgh Penguins have called up 7 AHL players to join the taxi squad for the NHL Play-offs.
According to the Penguins official website, forwards Nick Johnson, Eric Tangradi, Tim Wallace, Mark Letestu and Dustin Jeffrey, defenseman Steve Wagner and goaltender John Curry were recalled Wednesday morning.
Good for the younger guys. Hopefully most of them learn what it’s like to take part in the NHL play-offs. Especially Tangradi. Now the only thing that could make me truly happy is seeing the Capitals lose to the Canadians tonight.
Are you interested in who’s running for governor of Pennsylvania? Check out this article from the Gazette detailing the 4 democratic candidates running for the governor seat. That’s about all I have regarding this topic. Meh.
Check yourself on Interstate 79. The cops are cracking down. Not to mention, it’s the end of the month. So keep it real out there. Personally, the construction around the city is stupid. There are so many construction “sites” that are made that have signs but no workers for weeks at a time. I think it’s stupid, and if there aren’t any workers, it’s just a speed trap.
This is an interesting tid-bit. Facebook is coming under fire for their “open graph” platform. It seems as if Facebook has been doing this kind of thing since it has started. It’s getting more involved, more adapt to marketing situations. However, the need to notify is still there, and recent rumblings are again coming up that Facebook has failed to notify anyone about changes until they are already made a few weeks after. It’s frustrating, but they own the crack.
