Today’s post has arrived later than expected/wanted.  It’s also going to be different than my normal posts because I wanted to express one of the many reason why I love this awesome city of Pittsburgh.  Pittsburgh isn’t simply known for it’s steel town hard knock life anymore.  It’s bloomed into an aspiring mecca of technical knowledge, as well as an increase in fundamental growth of Media/computer related jobs throughout the area.

It’s also certainly not hard to see at all when looking throughout the city or in the help wanted sections of the local newspaper. Even if you explore the web and search for anything related to computer and Pittsburgh, you get literally thousands of search options.  It’s amazing how we’ve grown from a hard nosed town to a tech-savvy computer enabled group.  Upon reading one of the better tech/SEO blogs out there, I checked up on what my old teacher/friend/mentor had to say regarding the subject.  He’s about as immersed in the world of technology as possible and he’s always looking for the next best thing.

Well, yesterday he wrote about Pittsburgh being the “Most Webbable City.”  I must say, I can’t disagree with him.  He’s got a list of literally dozens of various events/sites located all around the city that are worth checking into.   It’s pretty unbelievable the amount that’s established, and even the amount of people commenting about sites not yet known by the masses.  If you’re a total nerd like I am.  Check out Josh Sager Media’s Blog and read up on his newest post regarding Pittsburgh being the most webbable city.

Moving on to another site that’s got it’s finger on the pulse is TechBurgher.  It’s got literally hundreds of ideas, listings, and valuable information regarding what’s going on in the city of Pittsburgh.  It’s just all awe inspiring and stuff and  I’m happy I took the degree that I did.  I’m also happy that it only got me so far and I had to explore the rest of the tech world by myself.  It’s what you make of it around here anyways.
