Well well well.  It looks as if that case Santonio Holmes was bragging about last week on his Twitter account, has been re-opened and the woman wants to press charges against him.  You know what the first thing I did when I read that blurb this morning was?  Smile and laugh.  I didn’t smile/laugh because it’s funny.  I smiled/laughed because the karma of this situation is beaming.

Santonio on his Twitter account last week called out the fans who were telling him to stop being an idiot.  In fact, you can find his actual account here – Twitter.  At one point, he even told a follower of his that he can find the worst drink out there and kill himself(it’s since been deleted, but I had it copied before it was removed.)

Yea Santonio, everyone out here is trying to make you look like the bad guy.  Never mind the fact that you, yourself, were involved in another altercation that required the cops to be present.  From there on, later on in the week he went on to saying various things, quite random, and almost as if it were self serving to his own personal reflection than others:

U can’t expect me to be like you, my life not like yours, I wasn’t fed wit a silver spoon we used paper plates and plastic forks n spoons. Get with the program. I aint made it this far for u to judge me.

These two tweets are just gold.  Yes Santonio, it’s obvious you don’t take advice from anyone.  Or you wouldn’t have put yourself in that situation, or even in the possibility of the situation again.  Then he goes on to say about his childhood, and how he was raised.  Wasn’t it just last year he wanted to be a good example for the kids because of his past drug history?

Didn’t he want to stop living by terrible example?  I guess some things don’t change, and I understand about life differences, but you have the money to set yourself and your family up better now.  Finally, my most favorite tweet from him, and it’s become one of my new personal internet memes:

I’m not sure this phrase even makes sense.  Isn’t it technically a double negative?  Either way, it’s classic, and I use it to end all of my arguments now.  So now that were all caught up on his week long twitter war with fans telling him to relax and start being chill, we’re moving on to what happened today with the re-opening of his case.  From ESPN.com’s article:

Holmes told an Orlando police officer that Mills grabbed his wrist, got in his face and called him a racial name after he asked for his seat back in the VIP section of Club Rain earlier this month.

Mills told a different story in a civil lawsuit she filed last week against 26-year-old Holmes. In the lawsuit, she claimed that the Super Bowl MVP got in her face and then hit her with the glass after she refused to give up her seat.

In the nightclub, Holmes told Mills to get up and move, said Jacques Cooper, the woman’s attorney.

“When she refused, Mr. Holmes began to get more belligerent and more aggressive in an attempt to get our client to move from the area, which he claimed was his,” Cooper said.

Mills had a quarter-inch abrasion above her right eye but refused medical attention, according to a police report.

While I personally think it’s nothing more than a money grab.  I can’t help but think this issue is a rather severe look into how Holmes lives his life.  He acts abrasive to fans telling him to relax, he’s argumentative, and it’s obvious his ego isn’t checked in at the desk.   I also understand that this is how a football player’s is supposed to feel because he’s a warrior on the field.  However sooner or later, somebody is going to hold these people accountable for their actions.
