Steelers Vs. Bengals Preview

Well, here we are again, and I must say a big thank you to the Cincy Bengals.  I’m saying thank you, because it’s awfully generous for them to of kept the king’s chair warm for the Steelers.  This is most certainly the week that the Bungles will give up the top spot and go crashing down in flames.

It’s also the week that Chad Johnson(OchoCinco) gets beat up, has two catches, and will still talk after the game saying he torched Ike Taylor.  Every time he says stuff like that against the Steelers, people go out of their way to make his life Hell.  Especially Ryan Clark.  Ryan Clark made the awesome comments this week about what happens when Chad talks:

“If he doesn’t send us anything, that means he doesn’t respect us, that’s how I feel,” Clark said. “You send it to Baltimore because you respect them and feel like you have to go out and play a good game and you need those types of antics to do well. I’m pleading, ‘Chad, please send it to us.’”

“I like Chad, just remember he plays receiver and receivers get caught in bad situations.”

“All that’s cool,” Clark said. “It adds excitement to the game. It’s not going to make me try to knock him out more than I was going to do anyway.”

This is the most amount of trash talking you’re going to hear from the Steelers defense.  Ever since Porter left, it hasn’t been the same, but it’s worth it now.  Ryan Clark, from those comments alone, seems to be well aware of how to get inside Chad’s head.  Hit him hard, and hit him all day.  This method is tried and true when it comes to OchoCinco, he hears footsteps all the time when the pressure is applied.  Sure, he may get his touches, but I can certainly guarantee, he’s going to get dropped hard, he always does.

Now on to the rest of the post, since I decided to rant about Chad Johnson(OchoCinco).  This is why I believe the Bengals are in trouble.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have a running game now, as it looks to be Rashard Mendenhall is for real.  He’s got 5 games in a row now over 100 yards rushing.  He looks to be as if he is finally cresting as the first round draft pick we got back in 2008.  The Steelers receiving core is so dangerous it isn’t even funny.  Mike Wallace, Hines Ward, Santonio Holmes, and Heath Miller.  I’ve went ahead and made it bold so everyone can see the firepower most defenses are dealing with if you give Big Ben time or space to move outside of the pocket.

The last time the Steelers and the Bengals played, the Steelers lost in the last second because the defense was still in their “OMG LULZ GIVE UP FOURTH QUARTER LEADS” phase.  Well, I hate to say it for Bungles fans, but that is no more.  Mike Tomlin has corralled it nicely and shaped the minds to put the foot on the neck and suck the life out of teams.  They did it the past five games and two of them were against top ranked teams like the Denver Broncos(fluke) and the Minnesota Vikings(real).

All I can say is that it’s going to be an intense game, and I’m more than pumped for it.  It’s going to be a play-off type atmosphere as this game means number one spot in the AFC North, as well as play-off implications down the road.  It’s time to load em up boys, because come this Sunday, it’s going to be a barn burner.  Oh yea…Go Steelers!
