I'm a history buff, I always have been, and when something like this story pops up, I get insanely excited. A nun and her order were recently given an Honus Wagner Pittsburgh Pirates card from the 1900's. Now this just isn't any card, it's 1 our of the 60 or so that's left in the world, and the last one that sold albeit in near mint condition hit $2.8 million dollars. That's unbelievable.

In what yesterday can be classified as a boring Pittsburgh day for the most part, we did have the opportunity to see Ben Roethlisberger make his return to Heinz Field. He received a very warm welcome, which kind of surprised me...

Thank freaking God that this plan didn't go through, Pittsburgh would have been crushed by it severely. Mayor Ravenstahl had the bright idea to privatize the parking leases throughout the city in order to try and figure out the pension system...

I don't think it's any surprise, that the local store owners are incredibly happy to have the college kids back in town for the year. Especially the beer distributors throughout the city, who more than drool at the opportunity to sell large quantities of beer to kids looking to have a great time on any given night....

There's at least one thing we can talk about in a positive light(when dealing with this economy). Pittsburgh has looked like it's shielded itself a slowish economy, and actually been a positive year for small business, and large company start ups.
